Safety solutions provider Survitec is to display its Zodiac range at NAVEXPO International in Lorient for the first time next month.

The event runs from the 15th to the 17th of May in the South Brittany port and represents the perfect opportunity to showcase the SurvitecZodiac range which is manufactured in France and includes marine evacuation systems, liferafts and inflatable rescue boats.

Taking pride of place will be the RIBO 450, a rigid, inflatable, outboard engine-powered rescue boat, with easy access. The boat can be launched quickly with a lifting sling in any circumstances and carries six passengers.

It can be deployed quickly, is seaworthy for man overboard rescue operations and is an approved release-adapted design for yacht vessels.

Having predominantly dealt with smaller shipyards in France in the past, Survitec is now able to target larger operations with its complete safety portfolio – including firefighting solutions and Crewsaver lifejackets – as the group has grown through acquisition and expansion.

The NAVEXPO event welcomes companies from the maritime services, diving equipment, renewable energy, harbour development and shipbuilding/repair sectors.

Marc Guillonneau, Business Development Manager for Survitec, said: “We have a proud French heritage and manufacture the SurvitecZodiac range in the country, so it is a natural fit to showcase our wares at this event. While our customers in the country know us for our ability to supply smaller passenger vessels, we are also equally adept at meeting the needs of the new build, offshore, fishing and windfarm markets and look forward to explaining to attendees how we can comfortably meet all their safety needs.”
