Over the past couple of years, the majority of our clients have expressed that they no longer see the procurement of lifesaving appliances as buying a product, but rather as fulfilling the need for a holistic safety solution. As a world leading manufacturer and service provider of critical safety equipment, we have introduced the Survitec Global Services programme to the marine market, with liferaft hire being the cornerstone of this integrated programme.
What is the Survitec Global Services Liferaft Hire offer?
The Survitec Global Liferaft Hire programme offers our customers scalable and flexible solutions in the provision and maintenance of on-board lifesaving appliances whilst their vessels are in port.
These flexible solutions are based on the two models of liferaft hire that we offer:
Our Service Hire Model
Based on the standard range of DSB, RFD and SurvitecZodiac liferafts, and on the traditional concept of servicing the liferafts while the vessel is in the port.
Our Exchange Hire Model
The exchange hire model is a game changing solution, that has been enthusiastically welcomed by the majority of our customers. It uses the range of Survitec Extended Service Rafts, named ESR, that need to be serviced only every two and a half years, instead of the normal annual service requirement. Also, instead of servicing the liferafts while the vessel is in the port, the liferafts are exchanged with another, fully approved set.
This combination of exchange and extended service, dramatically reduces the number and the duration of liferaft related operations on the vessel, which reduces costs and allows for very short port stays.
