 Guaranteed compliance and effective audit programme

We have introduced a measurement and auditing programme to align our practices with environmental regulations and best practices in all areas of activity.  For example, we are compliant with and accredited to the latest ISO 14001 international standard at all our manufacturing facilities across the world.  This policy also sets out the requirements to comply with legislation and other environmental requirements.

 Actively support pollution prevention 

As part of our ISO 14001 accreditation, we perpetually monitor our emissions, waste and product recyclability to ensure we constantly improve our environmental performance. We continue to support the principle of pollution prevention in order to reduce any adverse environmental impacts. We are also committed to respond to any incidents quickly and effectively to reduce the risk to people and the environment.

 Reducing non-essential travel

We have reduced the amount of travelling we do across the business. Instead of travelling for meetings, more and more we are embracing the power of technology. When traveling is unavoidable, a strict company-wide travel policy has been introduced promoting the most environmentally friendly means of travel.

 Waste reduction measures

We endeavour to reduce waste at source and to encourage reprocessing and recycling wherever possible and practical. Furthermore, we ensure that any waste that does arise is treated and disposed of with minimum impact to the environment.

 Responsible equipment sourcing and material selection

We are working to ensure that where possible all new equipment - whether factory, office or station-based vehicles and buildings/property purchased by Survitec or any of its subsidiaries, are selected and operated to minimise adverse environmental impact, including energy efficiency. Furthermore, we continue to look to source materials used in the manufacture of our products and packaging for their eco-qualities.

 Better management of environmental responsibilities

All of our manufacturing sites are compliant with and accredited to the International Environmental Management System standard, ISO 14001:2015, We have also set a mandate to ensure that all Survitec sites also hold this accreditation by the end of 2022. We are committed to managing our environmental responsibilities in the most conscientious manner, and push not just ourselves, but the industry we serve, to improve global ecological sustainability. 

 Effective internal communications

We need everyone connected with Survitec - our people, partners and suppliers to better understand our environmental and sustainability goals. Therefore, we have clearly communicated our Environmental Policy and ensure that it is adhered to by thorough and rigorous assessment and constant monitoring of our supply chain.
