Safety solutions provider Survitec is to display its defence capabilities focused on the USSOCOM customer at the Special Operations Forces International Conference in Tampa between May 21st and 24th.

In addition to the newly designed CBRN MilPod portable stretcher, Survitec will be exhibiting 380GPM and 470GPM inflatable boats, a phantom raft for special operations, waterproof medical equipment, the Inflatable Walls Training System (IWTS) and the new prototype Maritime Assault Suit System (MASS) with a Crewsaver XTP290 Life Jacket.

Survitec’s equipment will be located on a vessel in the marina docks outside the convention centre.  Visitors will be invited to test their skills against FITLIGHT targeting system as they enter a specially constructed, active shooter training environment. The IWTS is easily configurable and interchangeable, allowing participants to be immersed in a realistic, close-quarters combat training scenario that can change throughout the training day constantly challenging the operator.

Attendees are also invited to join Survitec on its vessel in the docks to explore the CBRN, maritime defence and medical product range, as well as to take a spin on its inflatable military boats.

Held biannually, SOFIC is open to international delegates this year with an expected turn out of more than 10,000 people and 400 companies. The show will showcase the latest in special operations forces equipment and capabilities and includes keynote sessions with USSOCOM Commanders.

Scott Williams, US SOCOM Sales and Business Development Director for Survitec, said: “We are excited to be presenting our entire defence product range and doing it in a manner that delegates will find engaging and interactive. Entering a simulated training scenario will give attendees a real feel for the competitive advantage users can gain from closely replicating real-life environments and the comfort and unrivalled performance our equipment offers.

“Our medical and CBRN equipment will also be available for demonstrations, as well a number of our military boats that attendees can take a spin in. We can do so much more than simply provide one or two pieces of kit – we can cater for all your defence and safety needs.”
