Flexible Hoses for High Pressure CO2 Systems
Are your hoses safe and compliant?
Life at sea can take its toll on even the most hardwearing equipment.
The IMO requires you to replace the hoses on your high-pressure CO2 systems every ten years, but this is a minimum requirement – you may find signs of wear and tear sooner.
For example, you may find rubber casings starting to peel away or signs of corrosion on the hose couplings and cylinders, especially if your CO2 cylinders are close to the exhaust fan.
These are all signs your hoses and hose assemblies need replacing in your next safety service to ensure your system continues to run safely.
