Safety solutions provider Survitec has appointed James Drummond as Chief Executive Officer.
Drummond joins Survitec from textile rental and logistics business Berendsen – where he was CEO – and has a wealth of additional relevant experience in the sectors Survitec operates in from his previous roles with Avincis (aviation) and Invensys Rail (safety systems).
He also worked in strategy and business development roles at Kidde (fire) and Honeywell (aerospace and defence).
James Drummond, Chief Executive Officer of Survitec, said, “I am excited to have joined Survitec, a company with a proud heritage. My focus is to capitalise on the group’s market-leading positions and ensure that Survitec is well positioned for the future.
“We have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, not least a safety system that could revolutionise cruise travel and defence innovations that aim to reduce preventable battlefield deaths. This is an exciting time to be joining Survitec and I look forward to sharing its obsession with all things safety.”
Mark Robertshaw, Chairman of Survitec, said, “I am delighted to welcome James to Survitec. He has significant experience across a number of our key markets making him very well suited to lead the business through the next phase of our growth as we continue to protect the lives of millions of people at sea, in the air, on the battlefield and in the workplace.”
