Safety solutions provider Survitec has partnered with Centrica Storage Limited (CSL) to provide inspection and maintenance services for safety equipment on a three-year contract. CSL produces and processes gas from the Rough gas field in the southern North Sea on behalf of Centrica plc.
With a range of products and solutions, Survitec enables customers to operate in highly legislative markets effectively and safely. As a result, CSL has opted for coverage in their contract which includes integrated and technical support, with the provision of dedicated personnel on a 2-week rotational basis, for lifeboats, liferafts, fire fighting equipment, abandonment suits and lifejackets.
CSL is also the first to adopt Survitec’s new GEN2 Tri-Approved, Aviation, Marine and Constant Wear Suit. The new GEN2 Tri-Approved Suit from Survitec has been designed specifically for the offshore energy industry, to provide the ultimate protection for personnel. It exceeds the requirements of the latest European aviation and mariner standards, offers unsurpassed protection to the wearer in the event of an emergency, and features inherently flame retardant material, reinforced protection on the knee, seat and elbow areas, in addition to exceptional in-water performance and survivability.
Kevin Laing, Head of Energy at Survitec, said: “This is in true sense a collaboration; CSL is optimising their operational efficiencies by providing their workforce with Survitec’s market leading safety equipment and solutions. Although specific to CSL’s requirements, this sees yet another offshore operator adopting a consolidated approach to their supply chain, whilst minimising risk in the process.”
