Survitec exhibited at SAFE Europe for the 26th annual symposium that took place in Stockholm, Sweden on the 8-10 of April. A long standing exhibitor, Survitec showcased the latest in aircrew protection and innovation - the Micro Single Seater Life Raft (SS) and Micro Life Preserver Unit (LPU).
The Micro SS is constructed through a mixture of sewing and high frequency welding of proofed nylon fabrics meaning it is 28% lighter and has a reduced packed volume of 33% as compared to the LRU 23/P model. Similarly, the Micro LPU is constructed of innovative lightweight nylon fabrics and thin polyurethane film for the bladders. Compatible with torso harnesses used by air force pilots, the Micro LPU is an alternative to the LPU-38P life preserver with a low profile stole and weighs a mere 2.2lbs. These two products are a significant step change in aviation survival equipment and address the demand to have functional, integrated and lightweight system that can be used in even the harshest of environments.
Stand visitors included the German, Swedish, Finnish, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Norwegian Air Forces, amongst others. The event provided a valuable platform for our European defence sales team to bring awareness to Survitec’s developmental and innovative product design whilst engaging with new and existing customers to enhance relationships.
