Marc’s commitment of 22 years at Survitec
Based in Ostend, Belgium, Marc De Zutter joined our Trusted to Protect Lives Team in 2002, cumulating over 22 years of experience with Survitec, currently serving as the primary Technician at our Ostend site.
As a highly experienced technician, Marc's work is not just a job but a personal mission to deliver excellent and qualitative work when building our Rescue Boats. He views the boats leaving the workshop as a personal accomplishment that contributes to the safety of the local marine community in Ostend.
Over the years, his work has comprised boats of all shapes and sizes. He produces high-quality work for different institutions, such as the Fire Brigade, Diving Ship, and even coastal rescue associations like the IKWV and Reddingsdienst. He pays extra care and attention to each small-scale detail. Marc knows customer safety is our priority and always puts this at the forefront of his work.
Marc's positive attitude and customer-centric approach shine through in his interactions with a diverse range of clients, from the nautical, rescue-salvage, and maritime authority segments to the fishing industry and pilots. He values these interactions as opportunities to broaden his horizons and develop customer knowledge.
Marc learned his specialised skillset through his predecessors and is constantly refining these capabilities and improving his knowledge. His ability to provide successful services comes from the skills he gained, his professional ethics, and his industrious and untiring efforts.
Today, Marc enjoys building our Rescue Boats and working with polyester, two niche specialisations of our Ostend site. Marc’s dedication for 22 years has led him to gain invaluable experience in his field, allowing our marine and defence businesses to maintain their competitive advantage.
