A year on from landing the Spirit of Innovation award at Seawork International in 2017 for its Rope Access 3D 275N lifejacket, safety solutions provider Survitec returns to Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition to promote its latest range of marine safety solutions.

In addition to showcasing individual products representative of its offering, Survitec will also be promoting its new SOLAS 360 safety solutions at Seawork International 2018 in July. The new model aligns Survitec’s core offerings with industry recognised terminology and SOLAS chapters while continuing to accommodate alternative approval standards. The overall outcome is clear, concise and provides customers with a complete marine safety offering to effectively manage safety functions from top to bottom.

The simplified, holistic proposition encompasses liferafts, lifeboats and rescue boats, personal lifesaving appliances, personal protection, first aid and medical equipment, emergency communication, fire protection & detection, as well as fire extinction and marine evacuation systems. While Survitec has a long and established history in each of these sectors individually, it is now offering them packaged up as one arrangement, offering customers time and cost savings as well as other logistical efficiencies.

Key additions to the Survitec portfolio this year include the enhancement of its lifeboat inspection programme, the XD Quick Release Belt and the Atacama Pro drysuit. Aimed for professional use by emergency service teams during bank side flood rescue, the XD Quick Release Belt provides a quick release attachment point for its Crewfit XD workvest lifejacket range into one simple configuration. By facilitating this integration, it provides rescue teams with the choice to opt for an inflatable lifejacket as their personal flotation device of choice.

Additional products on show include the 1000 Series GEN 2 immersion suit (tri-approved) which has been designed specifically for the renewable energy industry, to provide protection for passenger transfer by helicopters, crew transfer vessels as well as marine constant wear. The product has been designed to exceed the requirements of the latest European aviation and mariner standards and boasts a number practical attributes enabling the wearer to complete operational tasks, as well as survival characteristics created to protect in the event of an emergency.

Survitec is excited to showcase the innovative tri-approved suit as one of its product highlights as its structure is fully waterproof, breathable and inherently flame retardant. The interior offers increased insulation against extreme cold and improved thermal comfort with reduced thermal stress. The product is targeted specifically at offshore workers who will benefit from enhanced protection from the durable watertight seals at the neck and wrists, and from the reinforcement implemented into the knee, seat and elbow areas.

The safety solutions provider will also be exhibiting its Crewfit Workvest range and the Atacama Pro drysuit – named after the desert in Chile frequently cited as the driest place on earth - which is receiving positive feedback from the commercial sectors. Designed using three layer breathable technology and enhanced waterproof properties, it keeps wearers warm and dry while out on the water.

The Survitec sales team will be on hand to demonstrate its latest product portfolio, share insights and product knowledge and discuss the latest trends in safety solutions with delegates.
