Survitec is pleased to announce the sponsor of Lough Neigh Rescue (LNR) with the provision of Crewsaver 180N Pro lifejackets (CFLJ 180N) and associated training for use on their command and control vessel during emergency service response operations.  Lough Neagh Rescue, in Northern Ireland, is a registered charity and voluntary search and rescue (SAR) organisation covering Lough Neigh, the largest lake in the British Isles. The charity’s highly skilled volunteers provide a professional 24/7 lifeboat and flood response coverage of the Lough and all of its major tributaries.  Although first and foremost a lifeboat charity with circa 60 trained Volunteers, LNR also provides two Swift Water and Flood Response mobile teams.  LNR provides Type C flood rescue/swiftwater teams trained to UK Government Standards.  These teams are available to assist in times of crisis at local, regional and national level as required.  Volunteers are trained and qualify to Rescue 3 Europe Water Rescue accreditation

Andrew Reavy, Operations Director at Survitec, visited the charity’s Kinnego base and explained the lifejackets advanced safety features. Survitec’s CFLJ 180N are ergonomically designed to ensure maximum comfort in all environments. Successful integration of a high volume shaped bladder design, a peninsula chin support and increased buoyancy to 180N provides maximum in water performance.

LNR volunteers will use these new lifejackets when they are deployed on Lough Neagh for various lifesaving operations. In thanks, the SAR crew took Mr. Reavy on a tour of LNR’s Kinnego Station, gave an equipment demonstration and treated the Survitec team to a simulated launch exercise with their rescue RHIB.

Sean Rocks, Chairman at Lough Neagh Rescue, said: “Our charity, Lough Neagh Rescue, relies on the support of the public and we would like to thank Survitec for their generous donation of equipment.  LNR look forward to serving our local, regional and national communities better through our relationship with our new found corporate neighbour Survitec”

Andrew Reavy, Operations Director at Survitec, said: “At Survitec, we are proudly obsessive about safety and survival. It was an honour to see, first-hand, the crew’s impressive search and rescue capabilities. It is a privilege to take a small part in supporting the local community at large.”
