Safety solutions provider Survitec has received the global Z-17 Service Provider approval from RINA, a global corporation that leads industries to success. The Z-17 approval assures customers that RINA classed vessels can safely utilise Survitec’s service organisation, as all work will be accepted by RINA surveyors (once the Ship Safety Equipment certificates are updated for all vessels).
The global Z-17 Service Provider approval covers Survitec’s surveys and maintenance of fire equipment and systems, in addition to the servicing of inflatable liferafts, lifejackets and rescue boats, hydrostatic release units and marine evacuation systems. Additionally, the approval includes the servicing and maintenance of self-contained breathing apparatus, lifeboats, launching appliances, on-load release gear and davit-launched liferaft automatic release hooks. It also covers the calibration of fixed and portable gas detection units, foam concentrate analysis and service, and the servicing of immersion suits.
Survitec’s Group Quality, Health & Safety Manager, Mats Hestmann, said: “At Survitec, we are proudly obsessive about excellence, and this approval from RINA speaks to our commitment to delivering world-class solutions and performance levels we can be proud of. Survitec will continue to monitor its internal control functions, to ensure that we operate safely and in accordance with our own qualification procedures.”
The RINA certificate refers to Survitec’s newly issued ISO 9001:2015 certificate and the above categories apply for all Survitec sites listed on the ISO certificate, providing total global coverage across the entire Survitec network.
