Survitec’s Walk 2 Work (W2W) bag is a SurviKit solution for personnel travelling to and from offshore locations with the requirement for accessing and working at height. It has been shortlisted for the Safety Award category for the annual Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) awards. LEEA is is the largest trade association in the lifting industry and the annual awards celebrate members who have done the most to raise standards.
The SurviKit bag was launched after working closely with customers, who highlighted a requirement for a height safety kit bag for Offshore Wind Technicians. It contains industry standard safety equipment including harness, arrest and restraint lanyards, ladder climb systems, climbing helmet and accessories. It also includes Survitec’s own Tri-Approved Gen2 Passenger Suit and 3D lifejacket (complete with the AU10 PLB), both of which are designed specifically for the offshore energy market.
Offering users multiple adaptable solutions to the varying height safety requirements, W2W takes the guesswork out of sourcing the right equipment in an ever-changing, demanding environment where working at height is required. It is also available in three variations and is comprised of recognised and trusted brands to ensure each user is working with the highest industry standard of protection.
Designed to be carried or worn as a backpack for user convenience and comfort. The bag itself is CE approved as a lifting accessory, offering a safe working load of 50kg allowing users to stow tools when being winched for example to the top of a turbine.
The the winners of the 8 categories will be announced at the LiftEx dinner on 14th November 2018 by celebrity guest, ex-England Rugby Union player, Matt Dawson.
P.S Survitec will also be exhibiting at WindEnergy in Hamburg [A4.201] on 25-28 September, showing our latest industry innovations alongside the W2W including the Gen 2 Tri-Approved Suit and HALO Lifejacket
