Survitec Secures New Contract with Chevron North Sea Limited for Lifeboat Maintenance and Associated Services
11/07/18
Chevron North Sea Limited, producer of crude oil and natural gas with interests in 11 offshore producing fields in the UK, has selected safety solutions provider Survitec to provide Lifeboat Maintenance and Associated Services for its Alba, Captain and Erskine Fields in the U.K. Continental Shelf for the next five years. The contract includes integrated and technical support of Lifeboats, Winches and Launch Systems in addition to proactive maintenance and equipment inventory management.
Kevin Laing, Head of Energy at Survitec, said: “This strategic contract win demonstrates our commitment to establishing and maintaining long standing relationships with our client base. We have worked with Chevron for a number of years now and it’s fantastic to see major operators adopting a similar methodology, strengthening their supply chain whilst minimising risk and maximising operational cost efficiencies with an integrated approach.”
This win for Survitec, comes on the back of its recent award via Petrofac to provide replacement compliant ‘Survitec SAFELAUNCH LRRS® Release Hooks’ for the Alba Northern Platform. The Survitec offer was comprehensive in highlighting and analysing risk aversion factors which provide the necessary assurances that the project would be delivered in accordance with the deadline of 1 July 2019 as required by MSC.1392 [requirements for the lifeboat release and retrieval system (LRRS) on all vessels]. Furthermore, Survitec has also been successful with a recent contract award through Petrofac, to provide replacement lifeboats for the Erskine Normally Unmanned installation and the Captain Wellhead Protector platform.
