Ron was appointed as Executive Chairman of Survitec in January 2020. In this newly created role, he will lead both the Survitec Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team.
Ron has extensive business experience, including the roles of Chairman, President, CEO and COO, across various global manufacturing and service businesses. He is highly skilled at driving significant operational improvement to achieve financial goals, reach growth targets and create shareholder value. He has experience with both public-traded companies as a corporate officer and with private equity-owned organisations leading the executive teams.
In addition to his role as Executive Chairman of Survitec, Ron also currently serves as Chairman of Cooper Turner Beck and is on the Board of Directors of Quality Metalcraft - Experi-Metal, Inc.
Ray joined Survitec as CFO in January 2019. Having previously held CFO positions at Digicel, Unit4 and BT and an Operating Partner at the Gores Technology Group, he has gained extensive experience in private equity and various industries including Telecoms in both B2C and B2B, Field Engineering, Enterprise Software and Professional Services. With a proven track record of working successfully with multi-national management teams to drive and deliver top line growth and improve profit margins and cash flow, Ray has also worked on a number of acquisitions, disposals and the overseeing of post-merger integrations. Ray has a Bachelor of Commerce and Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and is a South Africa Chartered Accountant.
Baba joined Survitec as Managing Director, Survitec Marine in February 2019 before being appointed CEO, Survitec Marine in November 2019. His appointment follows his role as Managing Director, Workwear at Berendsen Plc, where he sat on the Executive Board and led the company’s largest division to commercial success whilst driving operational excellence. Following his honours degree from Oxford University, Baba held Executive Board positions at the Avincis Group, Babcock, UTi worldwide and British Airways and has a track record of delivering profitable growth throughout his career.
Martin joined Survitec in early 2019 initially as Managing Director and became the CEO of the Survitec Aerospace and Defence business in November 2019.
Martin is a qualified engineer with 39 years’ in the Aerospace and Defence industry, and has extensive experience leading significant businesses globally in both public and private equity environments. He is experienced in working in safety critical, heavily governed, asset heavy environments, with a demonstratable track record of operational and financial improvement.
Julian was appointed Group General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Survitec in November 2019. In addition to in-house skills, he has considerable international experience and has handed a wide range of legal and business situations in a variety of industries. Following qualification as a barrister in 1994, Julian held in-house positions at Rhône-Poulenc, British American Tobacco, GE and Baltimore Technologies. Prior to joining Survitec, he was the General Counsel and Company Secretary of London Stock Exchange listed Thalassa Holdings, a diversified holding company.
Julian holds law degrees from King’s College London and Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as an MBA from London Business School.
Claire joined Survitec in July 2013. She leads the Group HR function across all of Survitec’s geographies, responsible for setting and executing the organisation’s global people strategy. Her remit includes organisational design & transformation, compensation & benefits, organisational development, communications & engagement and HRIS strategy. With over 16 years’ experience across diverse industries, including FMCG, Manufacturing and Distribution, Claire is a strategic & operational HR executive with significant experience in business and HR transformation. She holds deep expertise in all aspects of HR, including talent, organisational capability & design and strategy. She has successfully led Survitec through a major HR modernisation programme and was responsible for implementing the organisation’s Global HR system, a key enabler for the business transformation programme and people agenda.
Claire has a post graduate qualification in HR with the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).
