Survitec is set to return to Seawork, Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition, taking place on June 11-13th in Southampton, UK.
Visitors to the exhibition are welcomed by the Survitec team to join them on stand PO22 and berth VA1 - where they can discover Survitec’s offering of safety and survival solutions. Including SOLAS 360 – a market-first concept with the aim of keeping your vessel safe and compliant. Providing operators with an all-encompassing safety solution through one supplier to cover the totality of their safety equipment supply and servicing needs.
Mark Hart, Survitec Sales Director – Commercial Marine (UK), comments – “Whether your requirements are for one-off product sales, or complete safety asset supply and management – we are always ready to listen to your challenges and ready to offer a comprehensive solution, built for your business”.
A selection of personal lifesaving appliances and loose fire equipment will also be showcased on the Survitec stand, including the new Foam Buddy, which has recently been shortlisted in the Safety at Sea awards. A backpack designed to support fire fighters carrying foam canisters. In every standard application in the past, the fire fighter has had to move the foam concentrate canister into their hand. However, with the design of the Foam Buddy, the new solution gives extra mobility to the user as well as making them more efficient in critical situations. The Foam Buddy is suitable for helicopter decks, open decks for chemical and crude oil tankers, as well as inside machinery spaces where low expansion foam is allowed.

In addition, Survitec will also be located out on the docks at stand VA1 where the recently updated 530GPM inflatable boat will be on display. Launched in February of this year, the 530GPM has been designed for both commercial and military customers and is constructed of a high spec Hypalon material to provide increased abrasion and UV resistance. The inflatable boat has had several significant upgrades including an adaptable single point inflation, reinforced hull for rapid tow deployment, extra wear patches on the tubes, extra rubbing strake on the keel and a double skin reinforcement on the bow area to protect the boat during beach operations.
Additionally, the Survitec Maritime Infantry Ensemble will also be available for visitors to view and includes the breathable and lightweight Atacama Military drysuit to keep boat operators comfortable for long periods of use, the XTP290 low-profile life preserver and new SABRE ASCENT load carriage system, designed to protect the wearer when climbing up ladders on ship sides. The SABRE ASCENT is also the only fully kitted load carriage and armour system in the world that adds swimmer buoyancy and is certified to height safety regulation BSEN361 for vertical ascent operations.
David Duffin, Maritime Director – Defence stated, “Survitec is proud to offer both boats and personal protective equipment (PPE) within our extensive maritime defence portfolio. We value our customers feedback and continuously use this to improve our product offering whilst never compromising on quality, design and efficiency”
Survitec will be showcasing the 530GPM inflatable boat and supporting ensemble in the official Seawork daily demonstration located on the docks daily.
