2019 EEEGR Offshore Wind award
The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and developments that have taken place within the energy sector over the last 12 months. In 2019, we won the EEEGR Award in the Offshore Wind category for the Evacuator system - an emergency wind turbine descent system which the judging panel recognised as representing “a significant contribution” to renewable energy safety. We are absolutely delighted to win this prestigious award, which we accepted on behalf of Evacuator’s inventors Eugene Verstegen and Joris Veeger.
2019 ‘Best emerging safety solution’ Safety at Sea award
The prestigious IHS Markit Safety at Sea awards ended in triumph for us as we took home the ‘Best Emerging Safety Solution’ award for our game-changing Seahaven evacuation system - a revolutionary slide-based rigid inflatable liferaft for the mass evacuation of passengers and crew from cruise ships. Seahaven is expected not only to revolutionise the way in which passengers evacuate in an emergency, but also how cruise ships are designed. The judges’ recognition of Seahaven confirms that the industry is ready to consider new ways of approaching safety.

2019 Transform awards ‘Best Visual Identity – the Engineering & Manufacturing sector’ and ‘Best Internal Communications During Brand Development’
At the 2019 Transform Awards Europe, we were honoured with not just one award – but two! The awards, which recognise businesses for rebrand and brand development work, followed a major company merger where we built a new visual identity assisted by communications agency UPP B2B. The judges commented that our brand was ‘strong and emotional’ and aided in uniting employees around the importance of their work. They called our brand ‘inspiring’ with one stating ‘it clearly unified the business and ignited a sense of purpose, pride and mission.’
2019 Yachting Monthly ‘Best on Test’ award
Inspired by developments in the aviation market, our Crewsaver ErgoFit+ lifejacket caught the judge’s attention for the prestigious Yachting Monthly awards. The respected UK-based publication carried out a series of ‘in water’ trials on ten of the most cutting-edge lifejackets available to the yachting market and announced the Crewsaver Ergofit+ ‘best on test.’ Yachting Monthly stated that “if performance in the water is the most important aspect of a lifejacket, the Ergofit+ was streets ahead of everything else on test.”
2019 Yacht Magazine ‘Best Value Buy’ award
Highly respected German publication ‘Yacht’ conducted a series of both in and out of water trials comparing 15 lifejackets. Out of the 15, the Crewsaver Crewfit 180N Pro stood out and was named as the ‘best value buy’ lifejacket. Always remembering ‘it’s what’s inside that counts,’ the judging panel especially noted the Crewfit 180N Pro’s bladder design technology - commenting on the shaped bladder, which ‘ensures ideal position in the water.’
